This is a joint event with the WSCP, Women in Sustainable Construction and Property and we are kindly being hosted by BSS at their training facility just off Gelderd Road in Leeds.
Focusing on ESOS and Energy Management, our speakers are:

Chris Coath, NG Bailey
Claire Geeson will be covering what ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) is and its rationale, the legislative context, ESOS scope and qualification, exemptions, compliance routes, requirements and timescales, the role of a ESOS lead assessor, notifying compliance and organisational benefits. Claire will also demonstrate an approach to ESOS using a case study in addition to covering forthcoming energy legislation such as The Heat Network (Metering and Billing) Regulations 2014 and the Minimum Energy Performance Standards.
Julie Bankes will look at how energy can be reduced during construction, both on site during the construction phase and reducing energy in the supply chain. Julie will also present on the growing importance of embodied energy in construction and how businesses might look to identify energy reduction in fixed offices.
Chris Coath will focus on reducing energy usage in buildings by exercising effective energy management. Chris will also cover monitoring and Reporting on energy reduction using IPMVP (International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol) and how to reduce energy consumption whilst maintain the savings with real world examples.
The plan for the evening is reception at 6pm with presentations/discussion starting at 6.30pm and we expect to be finished for c8pm. There is ample parking on site while the location is close to several bus routes.
