Healthy Buildings
This series, Green Vision will be collaborating with CIBSE, CIOB and the Alliance for Sustainable Building Products to bring you three events that focus on Sustainable Materials in Buildings. We will cover Healthy Buildings drawing on real life case studies.
We will also reflect on the supply chain and the procurement and specification of natural materials and some of the constraints and difficulties of specifying natural under the current BREEAM standards.
On Wednesday 9th October, Green Vision and CIBSE welcome Chris Hayes from Skanska, who will discuss how Skanska select and manage materials, proactively research opportunities and benchmark their performance on the Color Palette. Chris is a Senior Sustainability Manager with Skanska, one of the world's leading construction groups with expertise in construction, development of commercial and residential projects and public-private partnerships.
Alongside Chris, we will hear from Eddie Murphy of Mott MacDonald about Evidence-based Design and Dejan Mumovic from University College London will provide an insight into Low Carbon vs. Victorian School Design: Indoor Air Quality and Health Responses, in addition to an update on the forthcoming CIBSE TM on Integrated School Design.
Green Vision at Leeds Metropolitan University is an open Knowledge Exchange Network focusing its 2013 autumn networking series on Sustainable Materials in Buildings, to drive the Sustainable Building and natural materials agenda and promote Living Buildings.
