AGM and Specification writing for LED lighting,for smoother procurement/better results

We are holding our Annual General Meeting and a technical seminar presented by Jamie Yates of Trilux on the 2nd May 2013.

The proposed regional officers and committees for the next period 2012-2013 will be advertised on our website cibseyorkshire.org.
We have a number of positions which are becoming vacant and we would welcome new committee members and ideas to how we can serve the Yorkshire Region in the next period.

The AGM will commence at 6:15pm prompt with refreshments from 6:00pm. We also have a technical seminar following  the AGM, scheduled to commence at 7:00pm. The seminar is open to all so if you are not interested in the AGM please arrive for 7:00pm.

Technical Seminar Synopsis:

Jamie Yates of Trilux will provide an overview of how to specify LED lighting including recent new developments in LED Luminaires.

As he says, “LED luminaires can often appear to be a minefield in terms of specification. This CPD gives you an understanding of the different criteria and technological variations within this growing lighting technology. Helping you to understand and have the confidence to apply certain specification criteria over others, and ensure that your decisions are informed ones”.

In his presentation he will cover the LED market and current developments as well as ttechnical basics including LED design, electrical properties, light colours / binning, optical systems and usage: refractors and reflectors, LED drivers, thermal management and the 9 criteria of a good LED luminaire in addition to a look at the future of LEDs and OLED.

Date and Time: Thursday 2nd May 2012 6pm for 6:15pm for AGM and 7:00 until 8:00pm for the technical seminar (Refreshments provided).
